In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, developing and directing the daily functions of the Cath Lab.

Loma Linda University Hospital has been serving the community for over 100 years. We are the Level 1 trauma center and our Pediatric Transport Team serves 1/3 of California including San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono, and Inyo counties.
Our Pediatric Intensive Care service line includes 58 beds, in three units. There are 25 single room beds in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, 14 beds in the Pediatric Cardiac and Solid Organ Transplant ICU and 19 beds in the Intermediate PICU. Patient population includes acute respiratory failure, cardio-thoracic surgery, cardiac and renal transplant, endocrine, multi-organ system failure, neurologic disease, orthopedic surgery, patients with hemotologic/oncologic and stem cell transplant complications, and trauma. We have access to cutting edge technology including the Berlin Heart, CRRT, ECMO, & VAD. Our units utilize evidence-based practice and we are actively involved in research.
We are seeking a Director of Patient Care for the Pediatric Intensive Care Service Line to be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining recruitment/retention and succession planning programs that promote a personally fulfilling workplace environment, culture for quality patient care, and positive patient experience. In this key role, you will ensure areas of responsibility are survey-ready at all times and in compliance with requirements of applicable planning, regulatory, inspecting agencies, and LLUCH policies. You will develop, implement, and maintain a unit/department-specific performance improvement and patient safety and reliability program utilizing tools such as the Six Sigma framework of define, measure, analyze, implement, and control. You will engage staff and collaboratively establish department-specific dashboards to measure on-going performance. Additional responsibilities include participating in the strategic planning process and mentoring staff in transforming culture, processes, and clinical practice that follows the patient centered care model.
We are seeking a hard working and dedicated individual with clinical expertise in pediatric critical care. Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and Masters degree in the field of healthcare, administration, education, or business (in progress acceptable with quarterly reports). Three years of clinical nursing is required along with at least one year of pediatric critical care. Knowledge of healthcare law and finance is a must. Experience in leadership is preferred.

As a teenager he studied piano at the Peabody Conservatory in his hometown, Baltimore, MD, and in high school received the Randolph S. Rothschild Scholarship. His journey led him to Bennington College, where he mastered music, math, and Chinese. He then turned to medicine, receiving his MD from George Washington University School of Medicine and his MPH from Yale University, where he took his general surgery residency. In 2000, he became a fellow in cardiothoracic surgery at Stanford University. Following that residency he returned to Yale as the director of heart transplantation. In 2005, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians recruited him to become Chairman of Surgery and one of three open-heart surgeons at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. During his time in Rhode Island, he was named by the Providence Business Journal as one of Rhode Island’s most successful “40 Under 40.” Today, he serves as Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Stamford Hospital’s Heart & Vascular Institute.

Loma Linda University Medical Center, located in Southern California’s Inland Empire region, is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Invasive CVL Services.
In this role, you will supervise and direct the daily operations of our 24-hour, seven day a week invasive pediatric and adult cardiovascular and electrophysiology lab services that support LLUMC’s University Hospital, Children’s Hospital, and Heart & Surgical Hospital.
This will include the overall responsibility for achievement of all clinical objectives related to customer service, financial performance, efficiency and strategic planning for the Medical Center. Additionally, you will serve as departmental physician liaison for referring physicians and will collaborate with Service Line Directors in budget preparation, compliance, and program development, implementation and evaluation.
To qualify, you must be a CA-licensed RN or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS), with a Master’s Degree (preferably in Healthcare Administration or related field). A minimum of four years recent experience in an invasive cardiovascular or Electrophysiology lab setting is necessary, as is at least five years of recent progressive management experience. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Adult and Peds) is preferred. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) and ability to work collaboratively are essential.
