About the Foundation and the ACCN

The Marriott Heart Foundation Provides Medical Education Programs for Physicians, and has been joined by the ACCN to provide Cardiovascular Nursing, and Technical Education to all Levels of Cardiovascular Professionals.

Our goal is to continue developing CVN Fellowship Programs in major hospitals to prepare cardiac nurses for Board Certification and to offer the required CE credits for recertification. The ACCN made the decision to go forward with this development last year and have initiated our first Fellowship Program in Chicago, IL.   These programs are similar to the Cardiology Fellowship Programs for Physicians, only they were developed specifically for a multi-level practice in cardiac nursing.

The American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine (ABCM)offers multilevel cardiovascular nursing certification on four levels and
they also offer ECG Certification on four levels for physicians, nurses, and technicians. Visit them at:
