Job Description:

Job Requirements:

1. RN required, Bachelors Degree required, Master’s Degree or enrolled in a Master’s Program.

2. Five years previous healthcare experience is required, preferably in a cardiovascular or nursing role. At least 2 years supervisory or management experience is required.

Completes and maintains current competencies and training as defined by department/unit and/or clinical specialty area.

Minimum License and Certificates Required:

1. Current RCIS Certificate and/or valid Texas license (registered nurse) or 5 years Cath Lab Director experience and RCIS. If does not have RCIS must obtain within 6 months from hire date.

2. CPR Certificate.

Reporting to the Director Clinical Services – Cardiovascular ICU, the Interim Nursing Manager Cardiac Cath Lab will be responsible for providing leadership for the coordination of clinical and administrative functions for patients and Associates in the Cath Lab. 

Must be able to set goals, analyze data and judge results. Develop a network with other pediatric cath lab managers. Advance patient care through evidence-based practice and the use of technology. Leadership and teambuilding with a diverse team of professionals. Familiarity with CA regulatory requirements. Good understanding of family-centered care concepts. 

Minimum five to seven years nursing experience in a cardiac cath lab, with experience as a charge nurse.

Five plus years in a pediatric cardiac cath lab and five years’ experience in nursing management position highly desired.

Requires experience with budget variance tracking and staffing productivity guidelines; must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred current CA RN license, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, CPR – American Heart Association, and Pals Certification.
